The White Plains New York Congregation of the Church of God International is a small group comprising of a core membership of 5 members from various backgrounds and ethnic descents. The congregants here as with most groups within the church of God network resemble more of a family rather than one's typical definition of a traditional church congregation. Due in part to the encouraged (and Biblical) lack of a hierarchical structure and a more love-based approach to governance, the members of this congregation engage in deep and animated biblical discussions. Even with the appearance of being heated at times, the deep belief in the principles of Christ's love and brotherhood rules in the hearts and minds of those involved thus making for peaceful and lite-hearted conclusions to such discussions.
